Questions about DevOps, uptime & how we work

Everything you want to know about managed DevOps, 24/7 monitoring, security, and getting started — answered plainly, without the technical jargon.

FAQ // Getting Started

Getting started

How do I get started with NoDowntime Technologies?
The fastest way is to book a free infrastructure audit. We review your current servers, uptime history, security posture, and deployment workflow, then walk you through a plain-language report on where you stand and what we recommend — no jargon, no obligation.
Do you work with small businesses, or only large enterprises?
Both. We've built our service model to scale — from a single server running a small business's website to multi-cloud platforms serving thousands of concurrent users. If keeping your systems online matters to your business, we can help.
What information do you need from us to get started?
Access to your hosting environment (cloud console, SSH, or a read-only audit account), details about your stack, and a sense of your current pain points. We handle the rest. We never ask for more access than necessary, and everything is covered by a service agreement before we touch anything.
Can we start with monitoring only and add DevOps services later?
Yes. Many clients begin with 24/7 monitoring and server management, then layer in CI/CD automation, security hardening, and cloud infrastructure as their needs grow. Our plans move with you — there's no pressure to take on more than you need from day one.

FAQ // Services & Scope

Services and scope

What does 'end-to-end DevOps' actually include?
Everything involved in shipping and running software reliably: CI/CD pipeline setup and automation, infrastructure as code, cloud and server configuration, zero-downtime deployment strategies, security hardening, performance tuning, and 24/7 monitoring with incident response. One team owns the whole lifecycle instead of handing it between vendors.
Do you manage the servers themselves, or just monitor them?
Both. We handle day-to-day server management — patching, updates, performance tuning, and configuration changes — alongside continuous monitoring. Monitoring without management just tells you about problems; we're accountable for fixing them too.
Which cloud providers and operating systems do you support?
We work across AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, and other providers, on Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and other mainstream Linux distributions. If you're running a non-standard setup, tell us about it — we'll confirm compatibility during your free audit.
Can you take over management of an existing setup we built ourselves?
Yes, that's one of the most common starting points. We audit what you have, document it, and bring it up to a maintainable standard before taking on ongoing management. If there are risks in your current setup, we'll flag them plainly before we commit to anything.

FAQ // Uptime & Monitoring

Uptime and monitoring

Is 99.99% uptime realistic for my business?
99.99% uptime means roughly 52 minutes of allowable downtime per year. We achieve it with proactive monitoring, zero-downtime deployment strategies (blue-green and canary), high-availability architecture, and rapid incident response. The exact target is agreed per environment in your service plan.
Do you really monitor 24/7, including weekends and public holidays?
Yes. Monitoring and incident response run around the clock, 365 days a year. Real engineers are on call — not just an automated dashboard — so issues are detected and acted on at 3 a.m. just as quickly as 3 p.m.
How quickly do you respond when something goes wrong?
Response time depends on your plan tier, but our engineers are alerted immediately when a threshold is breached. For critical incidents, triage begins within minutes. You'll receive status updates by email and WhatsApp throughout, so you're never left guessing.
What happens if an incident occurs while my internal team is unavailable?
That's exactly the scenario our service is designed for. We act as your on-call engineering team around the clock. We diagnose, contain, and resolve incidents without needing you to be available — though we'll always keep you informed and loop you in for anything requiring a business decision.

FAQ // Security & Pricing

Security and pricing

What does 'security hardening' cover?
We start from a secure-by-default server configuration: disabling unnecessary services, enforcing key-based SSH authentication, configuring firewalls, applying OS and package patches, and setting up automated vulnerability scanning. For clients on higher tiers, this extends to application-layer security review and compliance support.
Why don't you list fixed monthly prices?
Because infrastructure isn't one-size-fits-all. Pricing depends on the number of servers, your technology stack, traffic levels, and the SLA you need. We quote transparently after a free audit — and you'll always know exactly what you're paying for before you sign anything.
Is there a long-term contract?
We offer flexible monthly engagements as well as longer terms at preferential rates. There's no lock-in trap — we earn the relationship by keeping you online, not by making it hard to leave.
Where is NoDowntime Technologies based, and does that affect who you can work with?
We're registered in Dubai as a Free Zone Company (FZCO), which means we can take on clients anywhere in the world without restriction. Our engineers work across time zones, and our infrastructure management is location-agnostic — we connect to your servers wherever they're hosted.
